Based in Australia, our boutique studio equipment brand was founded by James from Victoria, driven by a passion for exceptional sound and precision craftsmanship. In 2014, Andrew from Western Australia joined the journey, bringing engineering expertise and a shared vision for innovation. Together, they’ve built a growing legacy of high-performance audio gear designed and made in Australia.

Solder Sniffer“My foray into music began with a cheap nylon string guitar in my first year of high school. A slew of garage bands soon followed. Before too long, music became a non negotiable aspect of my life. I played in a multitude of bands in my 20s and 30s. I soon realised that my passion was on the other side of the microphone. I began recording bands, and my own music. I was quickly enthralled by the art of recording. Being technically focussed, this soon progressed into a fascination with all aspects of signal processing, which eventually culminated in the birth of High Voltage Audio.”

Now, I combine these disciplines with studio-driven insight to build gear that performs—on every level.”
