“In point of difference to my more surgical and precision style EQs, the HVA unit was a simpler beast. Simple as it may be, I found it extremely useful to have an EQ that in essence, was a wide band, tone control device. I often had to create this kind of curve with other eqs, sacrificing several bands to fulfil this task. This has seen it in use almost daily. Adding some weight to a thin mix or air to a track feels effortless. The noise floor of the unit is extremely impressive, which is critical for high resolution audio. The HVA lads have come up with a winner.”

I really value being able to control the left and right channels with just one knob, and the noise floor on this EQ is incredibly low. The improved ergonomics and excellent sound quality make it so much easier to use than my previous EQ that costs about twice as much. This is definitely a mastering grade EQ.
